God bless those of you who actually got some rest this weekend. I wasn’t among your number. I did go to some pretty intresting places though:
The Hotel Pennsylvania- historical, expensive NYC hotel with the absolute smelliest carpet and dingiest rooms dispite its grand façade
The Regal Times Square- where I saw Sucker Punch. WARNING: this movie is for horney little boys and grubby old men.
The Apollo Theater- historical Harlem theater where I attended the Urban Word Annual Teen Poetry Slam Finals. Those young poets are amazing beyond words.
Melba’s- a harlem soul food hotspot with the greatest food ever. Best way to describe it: FLAVOR.
Footprints- over-priced caribbean cuisine I don’t mind paying for. Rasta pasta with jerk salmon. Nuff Said.
